Cheetah Lodge Special

Picture the scene - a rustic stone lodge, soft music, delicious home cooked meals and an open fire. The De Wildt Cheetah Lodge is situated on the world renowned De Wildt Cheetah Centre and offers a range of options for those who would like to get away for a winter break. Our winter special includes a two night break with dinner, bed and breakfast and a tour of the facility if the booking coincides with a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday. The cost for 2 people is R2, 500.00. If you would like to make a booking contact Louise on 012 504 1091 or e-mail us at cheetah@dewildt.org.za This special is valid until the end of August.

Spoil Dad this Father's Day

We have a fun way of spoiling dad this Father's Day. Join us for a tour of the Centre and get a free lunch for dad afterwards. Our tours are educational and entertaining and include close up viewing of cheetah, wild dog, brown hyena, vultures and a range of other animals. Lunch is a typical South African braai with salads and vegetables and a range of delicious desserts. For a booking call Louise on 012 504 1921. Please give us the name of your special DAD. Alternatively e-mail us at cheetah@dewildt.org.za

Warm up this Winter

The De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre have a number of winter specials that will certainly warm you up on a chilly morning.

Imagine a steaming cup of tea followed by a high speed cheetah run. Don't be concerned you will not be asked to race a cheetah, rather to watch our ambassador cheetahs run as part of their enrichment programme. Our winter special includes tea/coffee,a cheetah run and tour and then a choice of a T-bone and chips or a chicken salad. All for just R300 per person. The cheetah run/tour package takes place on a Tuesday and Thursday and starts at 8am. This offer is valid to the end of August. If you would like to make a booking call Louise on 012 504 1921 or e-mail us on cheetah@dewildt.org.za and ask for the Winter Cheetah Run Special.

Adopt a Wild Child

Help us to give the animals we care for everything they need. Our wild dogs and vultures are especially in need of adoptive parents. If you are interested in adopting one of them please contact Claudine at cheetah@dewildt.org.za

Friends of De Wildt

Are you interested in becoming a Friend of De Wildt. We are planning to hold a series of open days where volunteers can assist us with maintenance and the removal of alien vegetation. So if you can paint, dig, plant or sandpaper we would like to hear from you. The work we really need done is not related directly with animal care but rather the maintenance of the areas in which they live. If you would like to help us send us your details so that we can register you on our Friends of De Wildt list.

We need your Tools

Tools are also needed - any help with the following would be greatly appreciated. Angle grinder blades, a circular saw, planer, sander socket set, spanners, a steel drillbit set or a concrete drillbit set. New or second hand will be greatly appreciated.

Should you wish to be on our newsletter list please contact us:
Cheetah@dewildt.org.za
We'd love to hear from you!!
