Malaria free and unspoilt by sophisticated development, the ranch is set in the heart of the magical Waterberg bushveld, a mere 160km from Pretoria.

Nature lovers will enjoy the spectacular birdlife and abundant game, including rhino and hippo. Visitors can view giraffe, kudu, wildebeest, eland, zebra, waterbuck and various other species on open Land Rover.

De Wildt-Shingwedzi offers private, secluded, fully equipped self-catering thatched chalets, each with its own splashpool, lapa, and braai facilities - excellent accommodation for the discerning traveller.

Cheetah Feeding Tours are conducted from Tuesdays to Saturdays at 10h00 and 14h00. This 2 hour tour includes Cheetah, Wild Dog, Caracal, Serval, African Wild Cat, Nyala, Crocodile and Vulture. Booking is essential.
Cost: R145pp, R70 per child 6-12 years, pre-school no charge.

Lunch:  An open continental sandwich with salad, dessert, tea and coffee whilst appreciating nature. 
R60 per person.  Booking is essential.

  • Game drives: Sunriser Drive 06h00 - 08h00. Includes coffee or tea & muffin
    Sundowner Drive 18h00-20h00. Includes a sundowner
    Cost: Adult: R100 per person, Child: R50 per child, Pre-school: No charge, minimum of 4 adults.
  • Game – most antelope species are found on the farm including Giraffe, Zebra, Eland, Waterbuck and a Hippo as well as two white Rhinos and also Crocodile.
  • The Ranch is situated 58km west of Bela-Bela (Warmbaths) with a panoramic view overlooking the Hooksmountain of the Waterberg range. The vegetation is broad leaf bushveld at its best.
  • Net. Rates - Tariffs are as follow, with a minimum of two nights and a minimum of four adults over long weekends / peak season:  These tariffs are valid from 1 March 2008 to 28 February 2009.
    * Midweek (Mon – Wed) - R265.00 pp/n
    * Ordinary weekends - R330.00 pp/n
    * School Holidays/ long weekends - R395.00 pp/n
    * Children 6 – 12 yrs - R140.00 pp/n
    * Pre-school - No Charge (no bedding & towels)
    - Linen & towels can be supplied for pre-school children at an additional cost of R70.00 per child. Please let us know in advance.

The De Wildt Shingwedzi Cheetah & Wildlife Ranch offers three unique luxury thatched Chalets, that are completely private, each with their own exclusive lapa, braai and pool. Chalets are completely self-catering, fully equipped and consist of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen lounge and dining room; electric fans in chalets.
